Special delivery: books I designed the covers for!

This month I received a very precious package from an Aussie client of mine and, let me tell you, it got me a bit emotional . . . When you can touch books you created the covers for with your own hands and read your name on them, you feel excited, amazing and indescribably happy!

The books are "Shadow Embraced" by Cheree Smith and "Shinigami Eyes" by Cheree & Adam Smith (Cheree's brother). Both titles are paranormal reads but very different from each other, although equally captivating.

No Escape.
Those words haunt Scar's dreams. She thinks the creature that terrorises her while she sleeps isn't real, but when she's abducted and taken to a reform school meant to contain creatures too dangerous to function in society, she starts to wonder whether her inner demon might just be real.
She turns to an underground fight club full of vampires, werewolves and witches to control her violent urges, and who is she kidding, she loves to fight.
When fighters begin to disappear, Scar becomes the prime suspect, she must race to prove her innocence before her true nature is exposed.
The only problem is that she's not entirely sure she's innocent.

Most children hope to grow out of their imaginary friends.
17-year-old Rin Waters' only hope is that hers doesn't kill someone, especially when said imaginary friend puts a boy in a coma. Finding herself shipped half-way around the world—to Japan, of all places—she is forced to live with her grandparents she hasn't seen for ten years and a cousin she can't even remember.
Rin would rather just forget about the one night that ruined her life and pretend her imaginary friend doesn't exist—if it was only that easy. When manga-obsessed otaku, Matt, won't stop pestering her about a manga that sees the future and the tragic accident she'll be involved in if she doesn't listen to him, pretending becomes quite a challenge.
Suddenly mysterious accidents begin to happen to students in her school, and Rin has to wonder what length Matt is willing to go to prove his manga is real. Is it all a sham or is there really something that wants to see Rin and her new friends dead?

I'd like to thank from the bottom of my heart Cheree not just for choosing me as her cover artist, but also for the dedication in the book together with Fran!!

So, do you like the sound of these books? And what do you think of the covers? I had a real blast working on them and I definitely can tell you I truly enjoyed both stories very much!
